The Magickal Botanical Oracle

by Maxine Miller & Christopher Penczak

In the guide book that comes with The Magickal Botanical Oracle, you’ll read that this 33 card deck was born from Maxine Miller’s love of plant spirits - and that they were originally an artistic project devoted to their beauty and magick. All this is perfectly clear when you see these exquisite cards up close. They do indeed convey the essence of each plant spirit in a way that is at once bewitching and enlightening.

Perhaps my favorite detail found in the book is how we are guided to look at these plant spirits as witches themselves. They are those peculiar inhabitants of the witch’s garden that stand apart from the rest, strange but beautiful and powerful in their own rite, just waiting to share their secrets, wisdom and guidance with those who are willing to learn to tune in and listen.

If these stunningly beautiful cards don’t inspire the user to do just that - I don’t know what will. The cards themselves can act as a powerful helping hand in learning to connect with the medicine and magick of each individual plant spirit. Moreover, Christopher Penczak’s keen insight into the consciousness of these spirits and what allyship can offer helps us uncover each new mystery with ease.

I find myself immediately attached to this deck and I can’t wait to familiarize myself each card, furthering my connection with these distinguished plants spirits over the coming months!
